Vets 4 Vets Around the World

Back in May 2017, our treasurer and volunteer, Travis DeYoung, created our logo and produced the first Vets 4 Vets T-shirts. What started as a simple idea has grown into something much bigger.

Our community reaches far beyond Santa Cruz. This page is a snapshot of where our veterans go, serve, and explore around the world.

Have a Vets 4 Vet t-shirt? Take a photo anywhere in the world and share it with us, we’d love to feature your journey.

Safe travels, and thank you for your continued support. We truly appreciate it!

Harry P. - South Africa - 2023

The pic was taken at Kambaku Wildlife Reserve during a safari. We flew into Hoedspruit, South Africa, and spent 4 days riding in these decked-out Land Cruisers.

We saw elephants, giraffes, lions, hyenas, and wild dogs.

Thanks again,

Harry Pruyne

Some of you may recognize Dave. He is very connected in Santa Cruz County and works very hard to bring veteran issues to the forefront. He co-hosts the Veterans Take Charge radio show on KSCO, is a former board member of Vets 4 Vet Santa Cruz, a former board member of SCVVMB, and just an all-around good guy.

Thanks, Dave!

John and Elaine C. in Kauai, Hawaii, with John wearing a Vets 4 Vets shirt

John and Elaine C. - Kauai, Hawaii - August 2017

John and Elaine are two of our biggest supporters. They attend most of our events and were some of the first to take the challenge and snap a shot in distant lands. Thanks to both of you!

Travis D. in Santa Cruz, CA wearing a Vets 4 Vets shirt.

Travis D. - Santa Cruz, CA. - May 2017

This is our first entry in the T-shirt contest. Yes, it is only Santa Cruz, but this is our very own Trustee Treasurer, and he created the design and snapped this shot. He gets credit for the farthest distance traveled to date.

Way to go, Travis! Thanks for all you do to support our veterans!
